Michael Antkowiak is an experienced Oklahoma trial lawyer having tried thousands of cases in his years of practice.  As a part of the legal team at Perrine, Redemann, Berry, Taylor & Frette, PLLC, Mr. Antkowiak will focus on Insurance Defense, specifically Workers’ Compensation.  Michael has also practiced as a claimant/plaintiff attorney, giving him an added perspective when handling defense cases.  In addition to his legal acumen, Mr. Antkowiak also holds the distinction of being an Eagle Scout.

Background: Michael Antkowiak was born in Baltimore, Maryland and moved to Oklahoma in 1983.  He joined the United States Army while in High School and served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard where he received an Army Commendation Medal.  Mr. Antkowiak was the Honor Graduate and received the Oklahoma Sergeant Major’s Award the Oklahoma Military Academy’s PLDC Course in 1993.  After serving 13 years, Michael was honorably discharged in 2002 at the rank of Sergeant. 

Education: Mr. Antkowiak obtained his B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Sociology in 1994 from Oklahoma State University.  He was the Command Sergeant Major 7th Regiment Pershing Rifles.  Michael was also granted membership into Pi Sigma Alpha, the Political Science Fraternity, and Honor Society.  Mr. Antkowiak attended the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he served in student government and was awarded his J.D. in 1996.

Activities: Michael has published numerous articles covering legal issues, including Workers’ Compensation.  He has also given seminars and lecture for the Oklahoma Bar Association, employers, and the Oklahoma Safety Counsel. 

Memberships and Associations: Mr. Antkowiak has been admitted to the Oklahoma Bar since 1997 and holds membership in the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Workers’ Compensation Section.  Additionally, he is a member of the Oklahoma County Bar and the American Bar Association.
